Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Onshore Construction Supervisor on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Norwich.
Key Tasks and Deliverables:
- Liaise and report to Onshore Substation Construction Manager and Packagers Managers on quality matters.
- Monitor and record quality of works according to specifications, plans, and standards.
- Review Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
- Inspect, witness, and verify checks and tests of structures, installations, and foundations.
- Assist in producing 'red-line' final drawings representing as-built conditions.
- Review design, construction, and workshop drawings, final documentation, and as-built records.
- Support in arranging and participating in relevant meetings, inspections, and tests.
- Coordinate, inspect, and report on equipment deliveries and storage.
HVDC Onshore Substation Scope:
- Monitor HSE, Quality, Progress, and Documentation on site.
- Contribute to the identification of deliverables in project documentation.
- Monitor and report progress of construction activities.
- Review and control all documents at site level.
- Support overall planning of civil construction interface activities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- BSc in Civil Engineering with relevant project education and experience.
- Relevant work experience in construction/commissioning and quality disciplines.
- Experience with major Distributed Network Operator or Energy Network Provider.
- Technical proficiency, adaptability, strong teamwork, and communication skills.
- International and intercultural supervision experience.
- Strong ability to coordinate interfaces with other stakeholders.
- High HSE mindset and awareness.
