We are recruiting for a DELL OpenManage Enterprise Consultant on contract to work for our client a leading IT Provider. The role will be based 2 days Remote and 3 days in their offices in London.
Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day resolution of hardware break fix both physically and remotely including racking, troubleshooting and decommissioning of hardware. Utilise OpenManage Enterprise (OME) tools to streamline the hardware break fix process.
Requirements
Experience with physical troubleshooting of hardware
Experience with iDRAC/racadm
Experience with OpenManage
Desired but negotiable
Experience with troubleshooting HP server
Experience with troubleshooting Supermicro servers
Experience with Linux
Understanding of interconnection of OME tools and it's automation capabilities ie OpenManage plugins
Responsibilities
React to hardware break fix in a timely manner, understanding the incident management process and communicating accordingly
Perform troubleshooting and resolution of hardware issues both physically and remotely
Update our ticketing system with troubleshooting steps, actions taken and up to date status in a timely manner
Assist with data centre taks: raising access requests, racking/unracking hardware, and decommissioning hardware
Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders on hardware troubleshooting and data centre tasks
Utilise spare parts and asset management tools
Manage different areas of the hardware estate from OpenManage
Use of monitoring tools to react to alerts and identify improvements or areas of suboptimal coverage
Follow, update and generate documentation
This is an umbrella contract, the role is Inside IR35.
