Operational Risk Analyst

Our client has an excellent opportunity to work within their Risk Team as their Operational Risk Analyst. You will be working with the Risk Manager, in a small, dedicated team, supporting them with continued development, implementation and embedding of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable and experienced risk focussed individual to really get involved in 2LOD frameworks and implement their experience within the business.

Our client is based in Leicestershire and can offer a hybrid approach to the working week, with 2 days in the office (one day must be a Thursday) and 3 working remotely.

Duties of the Operational Risk Analyst will include:

• To assist the Risk Manager with the timely review and update of all Operational Risk related policies and be responsible for ensuring that supporting Operational Risk procedures are produced and appropriately maintained.
• To support the Risk Manager in driving, running and overseeing the effective delivery of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment ("RCSA") process, including Control Testing programme.
• To support the Risk Manager in the delivery of Operational Risk oversight activity including, but not limited to, completion of day-to-day business-as-usual monitoring and "deep dives" / thematic reviews which form part of the Annual Assurance Plan.
• To collate and produce timely Operational Risk reporting ready for relevant risk committees for review by the Risk Manager, including the provision and analysis and insight on a range of MI and reporting produced by the business.
• Undertake risk reviews and monitoring in line with the Annual Assurance Plan and provide reports and recommendations to the business.
• Produce management information to a high standard by the required timeframe for submission to the Risk Manager or the Head of Risk & Compliance as appropriate.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Previous experience with RCSA processes, including Control Testing.
• Previous risk management experience
• Financial services background
• IRM (Institute of Risk Management) International Certificate in Enterprise risk management (or equivalent) would be desirable
