Job description

Summary We’re looking for a Fire Risk Assessor to join us covering the London & South East and East of England Region. 
The role involves a combination of travel, working from home, and our regional hub. The exact scope of the area you look after will be based upon where you live and the location of our current Operational Risk Business Partner (ORBP - Fire) colleagues. 
Internally this role is known as: Operational Risk Assessor – Fire.
We are currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2024. What it's like to work here We're bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine.

This is a full-time position; your contractual location will be discussed at interview. However, there is flexibility on where you are based. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing You’ll undertake a variety of fire risk assessments on National Trust complex historic houses and larger National Trust holiday accommodation plus other building types where required. 
You’ll be taking existing fire risk assessments and reviewing them against established National Trust policy to produce a revised assessment which identifies specific mitigations.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
•A Relevant qualification in fire safety & fire risk assessment e.g. Fire Protection Association, NEBOSH, Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers •Fire risk management and fire risk assessment expertise •Recognised listing on a national recognised register for fire Risk Assessors or have suitable comparable practical experience of fire risk assessing •Working knowledge of current fire safety legislation, building regulations and technical standards •Knowledge of working within the Heritage environment •Knowledge of working within a sleeping risk environment The package
