Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an OPERATIONAL SKILLS TRAINER to join our team at Florette in Lichfield. The primary focus of this role is to train and develop our colleagues within our operations department and to evaluate the training within the factory. You'll work in line with the seasonal demands of our business and will support all training requirements within the department.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 16.30pm, 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility to cover occasional evenings.

As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial's vegetable division.

Under the Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat fresh salad bags and bowls to well-known retailers in the UK. Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Operational team in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and One Point Lessons (OPL) and other training within the production areas
  • Assist in the delivery of the Leader Development Programme – both presenting and creating workshops
  • Help to support apprentices and work placement students through their qualifications and/or study.
  • Support the completion of 12-week training plans for all new starters.
  • Develop with the Operational team training plans for all roles within production areas.
  • Carry out regular Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions and audits with TTT’s to ensure they are performing.
  • Help to provide corrective training/coaching following internal or external non-conformities
  • Support where required any Induction sessions.
  • To support the delivery of the company training plan.
  • Help to support the Training and Development Coordinator with audits and visits.
  • Attend daily Operational meeting to ensure Training requirements and updates are discussed.
  • Create new training templates and forms as needed.
  • In the absence of the Training and Development Coordinator be able to deal with audits and visits and provide monthly statistics to HR.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experienced group trainer
  • Train the Trainer Qualification
  • Level 3 Food safety qualification / Food Manufacturing Experience
  • Time management
  • I.T. literate, highly competent in MS Powerpoint / Excel
