Technical Support Department. Glasgow campus based. £26,444 - £29,605 per annum, pro rata. Permanent.
Applications are invited for an Operations Administrator (0.6 FTE) within the Technical Support department at Glasgow School of Art).
The Technical Support Department is a welcoming and accessible community resource supporting students from across the school. The department provides support to students to develop their creative practice in various technical disciplines.
The Technical Operations Administrator will work closely with the TSD management team and technical staff, taking an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth running of this critical department.
The post holder will provide excellent administrative and logistical support to a wide range of workshops including 3d making, photography, fashion and textiles, printmaking and digital. Responsibilities include maintaining our booking system, managing our payment system, placing orders and ensuring deliveries are managed safely and effectively, and administrative support for our health and safety management systems.
As a first point of contact for students, you will be approachable, supportive and an excellent communicator with an understanding of the technical, academic and personal challenges faced by our diverse cohort of students.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Standard Grade level (or equivalent) and/or have experience of working in a similar administrative role. You must have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of art and design processes, materials and related safety issues is preferred.
