Operations Assistant (Transport Controller) – Cheddington HP23 4QR

Waste King Group is a specialist waste collections company established for over 17 years. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Transport Controller.

You will be predominantly based at our Cheddington material recycling facility with scheduled days to work from our Wingbury office alongside the sales and customer service teams. You will report to our operations Manager.

The Transport Controller role is fast-paced with continuous communication face to face, over the phone, and using teams with our field-based drivers.

Duties

• Delivering outstanding customer service internally & externally
• General administrative duties within the transport department
• Scheduling jobs and planning routes
• Monitoring vehicle tracker and walk-around checks.
• Communicating with all departments within Waste King
• Maintain transport and vehicle records

Requirements or Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Adaptable
• Proficient in using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Hold a full car license with no major endorsements on your license
• Enjoy organising and problem-solving
• Work well under pressure

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Contract: Full Time

Holiday: 4 weeks paid holiday, bank holidays off, and holiday increasing 1 day per year up to 5 years.
