About the role

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:30, based at the depot in Shetland ensuring smooth running of operations and administrative functions. Primarily, you will be responsible for the team of administrators in Shetland, ensuring job capture, customer service and uniformity of process is achieved. This role will be customer facing and require quote handling and logistics coordination. You will also help drive improvements and ensure compliance of operation in line with legislation whilst also liaising with different departments to improve performance and work efficiency.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assist with compliance (e.g. DVSA legislative requirements) to ensure the safe and legal running of our operation.
  • Assist with all elements of HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) management.
  • Ensure all jobs taken on by company are captured efficiently & invoiced in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain quote tracker and feedback on jobs won/missed.
  • Organise external transport and ensure delivery in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Organise team of administrators to support business functions.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who can provide essential support and leadership, acting as a bridge to our operations. An individual with strong customer service focus, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with the local market's logistical challenges are essential. While possessing an IOSH Managing Safely certificate is preferred, it is not essential.
