Operations Manager

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence in manufacturing operations? Brightwork are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Operations Manager based on site in South Ayrshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality and Safety Leadership: Ensure the plant meets customer quality, service, and safety goals through effective management.
- Operational Management: Lead and manage manufacturing and support functions, fostering strong working relationships across departments.
- Strategic Change Implementation: Direct project teams to develop and implement strategic changes within the plant.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all H&S requirements and procedures, including incident reporting and PPE usage.
- Manufacturing Procedures: Ensure all product manufacturing procedures meet customer and regulatory expectations.
- Resource Management: Ensure adequate resources for each shift and control production costs, including overtime.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure continual compliance with policies related to personnel, quality, engineering, and safety.
- Training and Development: Ensure manufacturing personnel are trained for optimal performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in production and safety.
- Product Procurement: Oversee product procurement and stock management.
- Preventative Maintenance: Maximize site uptime through a preventative maintenance program.
Skills and Experience:
- Timber Frame and Roof Truss Experience: Highly advantageous.
- Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience at a similar level within a manufacturing facility.
- Design Team Engagement: Ability to collaborate with design teams for optimized manufacturing and on-time delivery.
- Team Motivation: Ability to engage and motivate production teams.
- Adaptability: Work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Multitasking: Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Numeracy & Literacy: Strong skills required.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to meeting both customer and company expectations.
- IT Skills: Proficient in relevant software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
