Operations Manager
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.
Location: Upminster, Essex.
Salary: £37,500 – £42,500 per annum.
Hours: 60 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 19:00. Covering nights/weekends in the unlikely event of shortage.) Time of in lieu would be allocated.
The Role
- Reviewing the organisations performance and pricing strategy.
- Overseeing a team of operational/sales staff.
- Interviewing candidates and assessing areas of employment.
- Representing the business at conferences and networking events, etc.
- Ensuring the company is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our clients.
- Organising meetings with clients to ensure the level of service provided is to the quality they expect, to develop the business relationship and to fully understand the individual requirements and expectations.
- On the commencement of new contracts, you will meet with the client on site and complete all relevant quality assurance documents. The sites will mainly be in London and the home counties (sometimes further).
- Ensuring the relevant KPI’s, assignment instruction and risk assessment forms are up to date.
- Managing day-to-day activities and acting accordingly.
- Liaising with clients for any changes to their requirements or records we hold.
- Completing hand overs to/from our control room/office staff and actioning any incidents as necessary.
- Operating our workforce management system (Logosoft) and performing control room duties when required. Experience using Logosoft is preferred but not vital.
- Performing unlock/lock up/keyholding duties when required.
- Providing quotations and negotiating contracts with clients.
- Exploring new sales techniques.
- Using/generating marketing emails, actioning/generating leads, liaising with clients over the phone, canvasing, networking, and performing other sales techniques.
- Aiding with HR related matters and hosting investigation meetings/disciplinarily hearings.
Skills &Qualifications
- Must hold a valid SIA licence.
- Must have a driving licence and mode of transport due to office location.
