Operations Manger

Your new company
Your new consultancy is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy who are actively looking to engage with senior candidates for their vacant Operations manager position. The postilion will see you working within the Bridge sector of the consultancy.

Your new role
The role of Operations Manager will see the successful candidate join the specialist Bridge Inspection and maintenance team which has been tasked to deliver inspection and required maintenance work to three iconic bridges within the South-west of England. As Operations manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the annual programme of cyclic maintenance is delivered on time, to budget safely, ensuring all works are delivered in accordance wit the relevant procedure and in accordance with technical standards across all three structures. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning, managing and co-ordinating all work across the three bridge structures, ensuring that all resources are being used efficiently within the contract to deliver the works programme.

What you\'ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need a head for heights and be comfortable working within confinded spaces. These are a must have due to the nature of the role and the projects you will be working on day to day.
Required Skills,

• People Management / management of workforce
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Programme management / delivery
• Practical application of CDM

Required Expereince,

• 10 years' experience in construction / rail / offshore
• Existing experience of working on bridge structures desirable but not essential
• Awareness of Temporary works
• Awareness of lifting operations
• Expereicne of working withinb CDM Regulations.

Required Qualifications,

• Minimum HNC in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering; (HND / Degree desirable but not essential)
• Full clean driving licence
• SMSTS
• Temporary Works Supervisor
• LOLER Appointed Person desirable but not essential
• IPAF 1A Static Boom desirable but not essential.

What you\'ll get in return In retuern you will recieve 26 days holiday a year not inclusive of bank holidays, company car contribution and private healthcare.
