We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to assist with managing the Council’s parks and open spaces.
Based at the Argyll Road depot the successful applicant will help the Senior Operations Manager to ensure that the Councils parks and openspaces are well maintained and are an asset that the City can be proud of.
The role will require you to communicate with the public, 35+ staff and a variety of internal and external customers. You will be dealing with day-to-day requests and customer service issues as well as developing process and procedures and working with new and existing ICT packages. Working as part of a small office-based team you will need to be a team player, but also have the ability to work alone, you should be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload, have good computer and numeracy skills. You should, ideally, have experience of working in a parks or openspace setting.
If appointed, you will be required to have a driving licence. The hours of work will be 37 per week, Monday to Friday. A casual user allowance is payable.
You must be flexible to suit the work requirements which may include early starts or later finishes, and occasional evening and weekend work where required.
