Operations Support Manager - 40k

VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting one of our major clients in Greyabbey with the recruitment of an Operations Support Managerto join their expanding team.

This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.

This is a Monday - Friday position.

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace

Responsibilities:

• To provide strong management and leadership to ensure all Operations support functions supply parts and services on time to support the Manufacturing operation.
• To manage the manufacturing control centre, ensuring all data is relevant, consistent and up to date, and report to senior team on performance.
• Management of Operations Support functions including planning and production.
• Management of all control centre data and production of management reports.
• Achieve annual business plan targets developed by the facilities site operations manager.
• Analyse the manufacturing of products across the facility; make recommendations and implement changes to improve manufacturing effectiveness.
• Maintaining and further developing positive effective working relationships with Stakeholders, line managers, peers and direct reports in order to reach mutually beneficial outcomes to business challenges.
• Ensuring adherence to the organisation's departmental policies and corporate procedures.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to eliminate/mitigate.

Essential Criteria:

• 3-4 years manufacturing experience.
• Track record of working, driving and influencing change.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, analyse, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Desirable Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering/manufacturing discipline or Bachelor's degree in Business.
• Strong senior management experience with precision machining/metal treatment and assembly.
• Working within and Aerospace environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Operations experience in a lean manufacturing plant environment.
