Join the dynamic team, a premier supplier of aluminium and plastic extruded components, as we search for an Operations/Production Planner to bolster our Operations division with meticulous planning and administrative expertise.
Ideal candidates will possess manufacturing planning experience and familiarity with factory management/scheduling software, although training will be provided.
Job Description:

1. Production Administration:

• Plan production meticulously by ensuring timely incorporation of Works orders into planning software.
• Identify, address, and rectify potential issues proactively.
• Monitor production and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), adjusting run speeds and cycle times as needed.
• Keep account managers updated on production department developments.
• Verify completed works orders, ensuring accurate material issuance and updating shop floor notes.

1. Complaint Handling:

• Aid in processing customer complaints in collaboration with department managers and quality technicians.
• Assist in raising and processing supplier and internal complaints.

1. Stock Management:

• Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports weekly, ordering stock, consumables, and packaging accordingly.
• Conduct regular customer and component stock checks using ERP software.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate pricing.
• Monitor goods-in to keep the production team informed.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse manager to maintain correct stock levels on Factory Master.

1. Staffing Coordination:

• Coordinate agency staffing based on department needs.
• Distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to new and existing staff, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Facilitate new employee setup on ERP, planning, clock in, and OEE software.

1. Order Processing:

• Generate delivery plans, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
• Coordinate groupage lorries with transport providers for optimal cost-effectiveness.
• Arrange transport for collections and schedule in-house transportation.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary ranging from 25,000.00 to 30,000.00 per year.
