Operator Maintainer ( Mechanical )

Paying an attractive salary of £45,000- £47,000 per annum (including shift allowance) the role offers future development and progression for the right candidate!
The client is well known in the industry and has a fantastic reputation in the retention of staff. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will we working with world class colleagues that really strive for the very best for the business.
Primary Responsibilities
Split work between Maintenance and Production (approx. 60:40).
Attend all machine breakdowns within your designated area.
Utilise fault-finding methodology effectively.
Develop skills and knowledge of KG machinery and processes.
Participate in Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and spare parts refurbishment.
Support the Area Maintenance Crew as needed.
Key Objectives
Gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical principles and plant processes.
Achieve a solid grasp of mechanical workings.
Work safely and adhere to all EHS requirements and policies.
Engage in projects and activities as required.
Contribute to improving plant and equipment uptime.
Handle all aspects of maintenance, including Planned, Corrective, and Reactive Maintenance.
Develop proficiency in IT usage, including Microsoft Word and internal systems.
Collaborate effectively with contractors and on-site personnel.
Maintain attention to detail.
Support area maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns.
Possess knowledge of hydraulics, drive systems, etc.
Qualifications
Mechanical time-served apprenticeship, minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Experience or a strong desire to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Positive “can-do” attitude and ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical knowledge in heavy engineering and fast-paced production environments.
Ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop appropriate solutions.
Prior experience in industrial industry processes/operations is desirable.
Salary/ working hours
Continental shift pattern 4 on 4 off (fixed days or days and nights whatever the candidate's preference)
