Optical Assistant

Are you ready to join an independent group of opticians who have four well-appointed and fashionable practices in prime locations. They are now recruiting for an experienced Optical Assistant on either a full time basis in one of their practices in the Walsall area.
As this independent has 3 practices all within 30 mins of each other around Walsall, you may occasionally be asked to cover at one of the other local practices.
This independent optician group, who have a fantastic reputation in their locations are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optical Assistant to join their team.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, personable, experienced, committed team player who can deliver excellent customer service.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Optical Assistant and can competently dispense to all levels, contact lens teaches and happy to take on admin/reception duties. What is also important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store whether that be stock taking, answering calls or dealing with problems.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
Previous experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice is essential with the ability to dispense to all levels.
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
You must also be computer illiterate and be able to confidently use a electronic database, booking system and tills.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts a competitive basic salary of up to GBP24,000 is on offer as well as a good overall package. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment, potential opportunity prospects are available for the right person.
Working 9:00-5:30 Monday to Saturday
No Sundays or Bank holidays!
