Optical Assistant

Job Summary:

Salary £21,450 pro rata

We are seeking 2 detail-oriented and customer-focused Optical Assistants to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will assist the optometrists in providing excellent eye care services to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various tasks in the optical practice and ensuring a smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

- Schedule appointments, process payments, answer phone calls, and handle administrative tasks as needed
- Assist optometrist/optician in preparation for eye examinations
- Adjust frames and lenses to ensure proper fit and comfort for patients

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an optical setting is preferable but not essential as full on site training will be provided
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

2 Part time positions available

1. Monday - Friday (10am -2pm) 20 hrs per week

2. Thursday-9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am-5.30pm, Saturday 9am-1.00pm 19 hrs per week
