Optical Practice Manager

My client is looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician/ Practice Manager with experience of working in a busy environment and a large team who can make a difference with their dispensing abilities and mentoring skills.
Optical Practice Manager Position
This is a permanent full-time position working within one of the most trusted optical brands in the UK. This practice is well established with a long-standing and loyal customer base which has shown strong growth over the last few years. The store is modern and well equipped and is located in a quiet centre. They offer all services including MECS and are the optician of choice in the local community.
The practice has several test rooms and a large team of 30+ staff, all of which are supportive and work closely together to create a positive working environment.
Practice hours are 8:30 to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 4pm on Sundays
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
As a Practice Manager you will oversee the team whilst working to store targets, providing training and leading from the front.
As well as primarily being a Practice Manager you will also be responsible to work as one of the lead dispensers within the practice. You will handle the majority of children's and complex dispensing and you will use your expertise and clinical experience to troubleshoot and deal with any issues as they arise. As a senior member of the team, you will help junior members of the team and help them to stay up to date with the latest optical developments.
Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager
To apply for this position, you will need to be a fully qualified Dispensing Optician who is registered with the GOC as well as having experience of working in a busy, high-volume medium to large practice.
You will be an outgoing and approachable person with excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet and solve problems and offer solutions for your customers.
Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager
On offer for your experience is a salary of up to GBP35,000 for a Dispensing Optician to take on the role as Practice Manager.
Fees included
Bonus scheme - team based dispensing bonus as well as a Practice Managerial bonus.
