Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer with 6+ years experience to join their team in Dublin. You will be instrumental in delivering strategic data initiatives using technologies such as Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, ADF, and Informatica. If you're an experienced data software engineer with a strong agile mindset seeking a new challenge, our client offers an exciting opportunity for you to lead technically in our dynamic and collaborative environment.

Experience required:

  • Bachelor s degree, preferably in Information Systems or Mathematics.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle, Informatica, and general ETL development.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technology is required.
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing and modeling concepts - relational and dimensional models.
  • Strong hands-on experience in writing and tuning SQL.
  • Exposure to data visualization & reporting tools such as OBIEE or Power BI.
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and software version control, including Cloud Formation Templates, Jenkins Core, and EKS.
  • Strong Agile experience.
  • Experience providing strong technical leadership in a virtual team environment across multiple time zones.
  • Strong technical design and analysis skills.
  • Experience with data integration concepts and products in a large-scale database implementation.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end performance analysis and tuning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle database scripting.
  • Experience with data solutions in the Cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure) desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work closely with various inter-related groups & team members as well as business and technical partners, in a matrixed environment.

You will be:

  • Creating ETL & database project-level technical designs & documentation
  • Coding, testing, and performance tuning of software deliverables.
  • Planning tasks within the entire system, including estimating, scope definition, and work plan development for an application.
  • Representing project deliverables in interactions with the architecture team.
  • Performing code reviews of project ETL deliverables.
  • Acting as a point of technical escalation and resolution for database & ETL issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Planning, monitoring, and supporting production installs as part of a managed deployment process (CI/CD).
  • Setting clear technical goals based on collaboration with architect / partnering teams.
