Job description

We're looking for an Order Fulfilment Operative to join a new and growing company based in the Maylands area in Hemel Hempstead.

This global company have a brand new and state of the art facility set up and operating in Hemel Hempstead, looking for a new member of their small logistics team.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be helping with the picking and packing of orders, helping with stock-taking activities as well as working closely with the logistics and service team on administration duties.

You'd be working in a very friendly and supportive team, with full training provided and an exceptionally nice working environment.

This makes it an ideal job for someone looking to start a career and get into a position that offers great training and opportunities, but we'd be very keen to hear from those with experience too!

Hours of work would be Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm with an hours lunch (35 hours a week).

A starting salary of £21,500 is on offer, along with annual company bonus, 25 days annual leave and a benefit selection programme.

Please note that initially this role is going to be offered as a 9-Month Fixed Term Contract, with a strong likelihood that this could turn into a longer term, permanent role.

What to expect day to day:

  • Picking and issuing stock for internal and external Order Fulfilment.
  • Packing and shipping orders.
  • Taking receipt of goods-in.
  • Participate in stock-taking activities.
  • Assisting the Logistics and Service team and the Warehouse Operative with relevant administrative tasks as required.

What do we need from you:

  • Any previous warehouse or administration experience is of use, but full training is provided.
  • Being well organized with good attention to detail is a must for this type of role.
  • The ability to grasp health and safety and take it seriously.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • A level of physical fitness in order to carry out some of the standing, bending and lifting with this role.
  • The ability to work in the Hemel Hempstead (Maylands) based site daily and access to them easily.
