My client based in Walsall is looking for a Technical Order Processor/Purchasing Assistant to work in a temporary or permanent role.
This will be a full-time role Monday to Friday 08:00am until 5pm with an early finish on Fridays.
My client is looking for a candidate with experience in fasteners industry, or previous Manufactuing background experience, knowledge of the Supply chain, Continuous Improvement and 6s.
- - Assist the purchasing team in managing and maintaining inventory levels
- - Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
- - Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place orders
- - Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics and supply chain to optimize procurement processes
- - Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Requirements for the role:
- MRP/ERP Knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred but not necessary.
- Proven experience as a purchasing assistant or in a similar role
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
