Orthoptist

The postholder will provide high quality Orthoptic services as an autonomous practitioner. BIOS preceptorship will be offered for newly qualified staff. This involves knowledge and interpretation of professional Orthoptic standards and following local protocols, arranging onward referrals in priority order. Assessing, diagnosing and managing a full range of conditions in adults and children with visual impairment, ocular motility conditions and amblyopia providing evidence based treatment.
