Outdoor Learning Instructor - Tertiary/Casual/Relief
Benmore Outdoor Centre

Salary: £19.63 per hour
Hours: Various

Edinburgh Outdoor Learning comprises two residential centres and a city based resource and training hub. Benmore Outdoor Centre is seeking to add capacity to the existing instructional team, these positions are Dunoon based location.

Focused on providing high quality Outdoor Learning to the school children of Edinburgh City along with a wide mix of other local authorities, youth, charity, corporate and Duke of Edinburgh related organisations. Our course delivery aspires to contribute to each school's Curriculum for Excellence outcomes through Outdoor Learning.

Applicants should be well practised and have a high level of competency in providing residential Outdoor Learning that delivers C for E outcomes. The Centre has a growing staff structure that incorporates a Centre Manager, Two Lead Instructors, Three Permanent Instructors, Three fixed term contracts and a pool of Casual Tertiary Instructional Staff.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
