SEN Outreach Tutor
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for qualified and experienced tutors and mentors to provide support to young people with mentorship and core subjects of Maths, English and Science. Tuition is in place for students with EHCP's and a diagnosis of autism, so subjects would need to be tailored to the needs of the students.
Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN.
Position Details:
- Location: Luton
- Position:Tutor
- Hours: 15 hours per week
- Timetable: 5 days per week, 3 hours per day
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- QTS or equivalent
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Primary Outreach Tutor must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
