Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Location: Blackburn (working in and around Blackburn & Skelmersdale area)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: GBP23,500 - GBP30,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outreach Tutor to join our clients team in Blackburn. As an Outreach Tutor, you will engage directly with our learners, providing vital support and guidance to help them achieve their personal goals. Your role involves delivering various courses and qualifications to a caseload of learners in and around the Blackburn & Skelmersdale area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a diverse range of courses and qualifications to learners in Skelmersdale and Blackburn (Employability, Customer Service, Hospitality, Health and Social Care, and Retail).
• Tailor teaching methods to ensure consistency in approach and support across lessons.
• Maintain adherence to quality standards and meet targets effectively.
• Support learner enrolment and referral acquisition.
• Organize and manage documentation reflecting learner progress, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Blackburn, Quality, and IQA team.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

• Recognized Teaching Qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS, or equivalent)
• Assessors Qualification (A1, D32/33, TAQA, CAVA) or willingness to work towards
• Functional Skills Level 2 in Math's, English, and ICT or willingness to work towards or GCSE English Language or equivalent (Grade A -C)
• Experience using an e-portfolio system
• Successful delivery of vocational qualifications using remote and digital platforms
• Strong IT Skills with experience in MS packages
• Competencies in Employability, Customer Service, Hospitality, Health and Social Care, and Retail.
