Your new role

In this exciting new role you will be responsible for managing overhaul material activities including monitoring of parts in the repair cycle, organisation of any additional logistics requirements, identification of materials required for the overhaul process, supplier visits (where necessary) and progress reporting to the business.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

Main Duties

  • Develop and manage the process for managing the repair loop for Overhaul Materials with the project teams in NAY and S&M
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure maximum process efficiency is achieved through the proposed process, including reporting requirements.
  • Monitoring of parts during the repair cycle from the contractor, including evaluation of quotes from supplier, timings, and expectation of stock return
  • Work closely with the Fleet planning teams and CPC to ensure smooth transition of the overhaul programme.
  • Work closely with the Warranty and Repair team to ensure spares are expedited quickly through the repair process
  • Management of the movement of all overhaul spares through the logistics team
  • Management of owner owned float (including planned maintenance of spares if required)
  • Identifying any trends in repair requirements and feeding back into the necessary teams
  • Responsibility for ensuring all systems are up to date with stock locations and availability of spares.
  • Monitoring of overhaul and weekly progress reporting to the business
  • Day to day trouble shooting with overhaul team
     

About you

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to communicate clearly and effectively any concerns
  • Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of managing an overhaul portfolio in a similar field
  • Engineering background with clear basic knowledge
  • Good analytical ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Commitment to working as part of a team
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment

Desirable Requirements

  • Supply Chain experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment
  • Overhaul process management
