Overhead Lines Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an Overhead Lines Engineer to work on prestigous projects with a well know Transmission & Distribution Company. The company work on many T&D and Infrastructure projects across the UK. They can offer 6-9 month contracts.

Responsibilities include: 

•Development of pre-contract design and delivery of projects by leading/undertaking the technical aspects of OHL systems and all other associated equipment.
•Assess engineering documentation, feasibility, and compliance with and support the preparation of accurate budgets for new projects. Recommend construction and outage programmes where required in relation to OHL circuits.
•Carry out tender assessment of OHL works (including suppliers), support to project management on the assessment of bids.
•Preparing outline and detailed engineering specifications for OHL system designs and costs for high value, complex or business critical projects.
 

The ideal candidate will have as follows:

• HNC/HND/Degree in an electrical or engineering discipline would be preferable and/or relevant Site Experience with the Utilities  Construction Industry
• People Management experience and relationship management skills
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and Financial control
