PA/ Compliance Assistant
Salary: 25,000 - 28,000
Location: Leeds City Centre - Fully office based
Our client is a boutique law firm based in Leeds City Centre and they are looking for a PA/ Compliance Assistant to join their team.
The role is a combined role and will involve both compliance and PA duties. The compliance side of the role will involve supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), carrying out new client conflict and AML checks, opening and closing client files and ensuring compliance is completed, developing compliance policies and procedures and helping with training across the business. The PA side will involve preparing documentation, amending and formatting documents, diary management and providing general support to the team.
We are looking for someone with previous compliance experience. this can be from a legal, financial, or even recruitment compliance background. We are also looking for strong administration skills or previous PA experience ideally.

Duties include:
- Supporting the MLRO
- Carrying out conflicts and AML checks on all new clients
- Supporting with the development of compliance policies and procedures
- Assisting with compliance training and awareness across the firm
- Opening and closing files and ensuring all required compliance is completed
- Providing PA support to the team
- Typing and formatting documents
- Diary management
- Arranging travel and accommodation
- Booking meeting and coordinating catering and equipment
- Providing general administration support to the team
Requirements for the role:
- Previous compliance experience - open to sector - could be legal, financial, recruitment or healthcare compliance for example
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Previous administration or PA experience is desirable
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Ability to work in a close knit team
- Willingness to carry out AML training and keep updated in compliance/ regulations
