PA required for Every Other Weekend 10am - 5/6pm

I am a disabled mature woman with multiple disabilities aside from MS, and I am partially sighted I also have osteoporosis. I use a wheelchair and require assistance with personal care, some medical assistance domestic tasks, shopping and for company and conversation.
My personal assistant/support worker must be reliable, conscientious, honest, trustworthy and punctual. They must have a good sense of humour and like cats.
I require a personal assistant /support worker who can provide the assistance I require under my direction and who is able to use initiative as to the support required. My personal assistant must be friendly and easy-going with a positive 'can do' attitude.I need my personal assistant/support worker to understand my fluctuating health and accept my decision if I do not feel well enough to go engage in social activities and conversation. The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.My personal assistant must be able to manage the physical requirements of folding and lifting my wheelchair. I need my PA/support worker to be load my scooter in the car (training will be given).
SUPERVISION
You will be directed by and accountable to me at all times. You will always ask what is required and not make assumptions about any aspect of the assistance I need or how it should be carried out.MAIN DUTIESThe PA will be required to do the following tasks and may be asked to carry out other tasks of a similar role or deemed a reasonable request.
My PA must also be happy to undertake household cleaning & cooking. I require support with personal care, encouragement and support to access existing social activities, I enjoy shopping.Personal Assistant Support Tasks
Support me with some aspects of personal care, where necessary.Assistance with all care’s regarding my stoma pouch (cleaning and preparing area and products, all training for this will be provided, no experience necessary).Administer medications via my gastro peg (training given)
Household cleaning tasks , ironing basic meal preparationAny other request that I may reasonably make.Essential RequirementsMust like cats (I have 2 )Good time keeping and punctuality is key.Sense of humour & friendlyYou will be expected to keep total confidentiality, be reliable and trustworthy.The PA/support worker must be adaptable to their approach and delivery of the support.Working knowledge of safeguarding issues.Be able to accept responsibility and use initiative.Undertake and attend any necessary training courses.Attend regular supervision meetings.Be willing to try new things.Understand the need for confidentiality.Desirable RequirementsHave the skills and knowledge to work within a team.Be flexible and willing to work additional shifts in order to cover annual leave for my other Pa’s/support workerConfidentialityYou will be expected to keep total confidentiality at all times and treat me and my family with respect.
