Details:
Tasks include outreach and limited travel, taking young person to public parks/playgrounds/bowling. Home based activities such as art, music, cooking, garden activities.
Support with accessing the community and activities.
Ensuring safety when out and about.
Support with independence and making choices.
Providing encouragement and practical assistance when out and about.
Person specification
Essential:
The candidate requires experience in dealing with SEN children/young adults, specifically ASD.
Requires empathetic/patient personality.
Car owner with the appropriate business insurance.
Summary terms and conditions:
The rate of pay for this position is £11 per hour.
Hours and times of work: 8.5 hours per week, minimum of one morning or afternoon, up to two days, 09.00-15.00.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
This position requires the employee to complete free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid, Personal Care, Risk Assessment.
