In this vital PA role, you will work for and on behalf of our Headteacher in a range of duties including calendar management, minute taking, record keeping etc and to represent the College as presenting Officer for admission appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential and proactive personal assistant services to the Headteacher, managing priorities, calendar, and executive meetings.
- Establish and maintain accurate record-keeping systems, including filing College policies.
- Review, summarise, and prepare complex correspondence and documents for the Headteacher and Governing Body.
- Act as the first point of contact, managing external communications and maintaining confidentiality.
- Welcome visitors, operate relevant equipment/ICT packages, and ensure data security.
- Manage admissions administration, including policy development, liaison with external entities, and preparation of reports.
- Serve as the Presenting Officer at school appeals and provide advice and guidance.
- Research to inform decisions and comply with reasonable requests from managers/Headteacher.
Ideal Candidate:
- NQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant discipline.
- GCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent, e.g., Adult Literacy/Numeracy at level 2.
- Evidence of continuous professional learning, including recent leadership and management development.
- Fluent in English (Advanced Threshold Level) with clear communication skills.
- Office/administrative experience, including working with senior staff and in a school environment.
- Actively promotes Catholic life, community, and participation.
- Independent worker with a strong sense of belonging and commitment to policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates moral courage, resilience, flexibility, and initiative.
- Excellent communicator with emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Maintains confidentiality and promotes a positive, enjoyable atmosphere.
