Job description

Job title: Sales/Purchasing assistant and Personal Assistant to Director

Company Overview: Wholesaler of Toiletries and Household products

Job purpose: To work closely with the MD to assist in the processing of sales orders, purchase orders and communication with warehouse, customers and suppliers.

This is a customer focused role to ensure the business always maintains the highest level of attention and service.

To always adhere to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and will comply with Good Distribution Practice.

To comply with all company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures, Work Practices, and any other Health & Safety requirements.

Key PA accountabilities:

  • Organise stationery for office use
  • Ad hoc head office site visit.
  • Arranging travel arrangements.
  • Maintaining office tidiness, hygiene and facilities.
  • Good general Admin skills / Diary management

Sales and Purchasing Coordinator Duties:

  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Research product information.
  • Update and coordinate sales and purchase tracker.
  • Warehouse team coordination, such as (but not limited to) supplier and customer orders.
  • Sales support.
  • Update Floor stock volumes, dates and price lists.
  • Process customer orders & create Offer Sheets/emails.
  • Ad-hoc duties

Skills:

  • Self-motivated and ability to work alone.
  • Professional with strong verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • Ability to work with a range of people across the business (office / warehouse / customer / supplier)
  • Organised and tidy
  • Proficient with Microsoft - especially Excel
  • Good basic Maths
  • Good attention to detail

Competencies:

  • Action Oriented - a tenacity for getting things done.
  • Collaborative - building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and customers to meet shared objectives.
  • Technical / professional qualifications:
  • Preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Experience:

  • Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administration: 1 year (preferred)

Hours (32): 4 days

Between Mon - Fri: 9am - 5.30pm (30-minute paid break included)

Can be flexible

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Contract: Part time Maternity cover
