We are looking for a Packaging Supervisorto join us at our Wigston site in Leicestershire to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating day and night shift.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the product is manufactured safely and in accordance with all food safety procedures including Critical Control Point check procedures (CCP metal detection), PRP allergens and OPRP traceability/traceability procedures.
- Preparation, calibration and set up checks of all machinery
- Control of cleaning materials and cleanliness of packing area
- Entering data in OSCAR
- General allergen awareness
- Responsible for ensuring site security procedures are followed at all times
- To carry out hourly checks to ensure that traceability data is correct and readable
- To carry out hourly checks in the cold store making sure all electrics are done according to procedures and quality standards.
Required skills and competencies:
- Experience in Food Production is essential
- The ability to follow procedures with attention to detail
- Organisation skills with the ability to ensure the availability of materials, organisation of team members and to maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Team leading/supervisory abilities and good communication skills
- The ability to respond appropriately to changing circumstances
