Packaging Technologist

Wise Employment are working on behalf of an established and successful manufacturing company to find a Packaging Technologist to join their team.

This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday 830am-5pm, based on site in Callington, Cornwall. Salary is up to £27K DOE. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to be responsible for the delivery of new artwork, labels and packaging and develop existing skills relating to all aspects of Packaging.

What your day will look like:

As a Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for day to day issue resolution involving packaging and review/evaluate current packaging designs to ensure continuous improvement and development.

You will follow new materials from concept through to launch to ensure any changes/feedback to suppliers is captured and you will monitor current and future trends in packaging including relating manufacturing technology and machinery to ensure the business is at the forefront in technology.

You will design packaging to ensure it complies with all UK and EU requirements and represent the company at customer artwork meetings, ensuring designs are compliant with the companies print processes.

As Packaging Technologist, you will also respond to feedback from the internal departments regarding existing packaging and any issues or improvements that arise.

Experience Required for Packaging Technologist:

You will need to have strong planning and organisational skills and able to approach tasks pragmatically. It is essential to have a full UK driving licence and willing to travel within the UK and possibly within the EU also.

You will need to be confident in presenting to different parties and have strong Microsoft Office literacy (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
