ROLE TITLE: Packing Manager
REPORTS TO: Head of Operations
The role involves:
- Ensuring correct stock is available to enable orders to be fullfilled and dispatched on time.
- Ensuring all daily paperwork is complete and accurate in accordance with company procedures
- To book in/out pallets and manage stock in offsite hubs
- Ensuring the Packing team have their daily jobs organised
- Ensuring the quality of stock is maintained, stock rotation occurs and any stock that does not meet the necessary standards is reported and dealt with.
- Responsible for instilling and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the company Health and Safety Policy alongside the Operations Management team
- Ensure all accidents and hazard reports are correctly recorded
- Completing daily/monthly checklists for Health & Safety and housekeeping
- To ensure all company policies and procedures are followed
- Making sure packaging is put away correctly/checked in and documentation taken to the office
- Help any area in the business when and as required
- Working with the rest of the supervisory team, and management teams to suggest and implement ideas for improvement
- Conduct and support Stock takes
- Monitoring, controlling & minimising waste
Role related knowledge, skills, behaviours, qualifications and experience required:
- A good understanding of health and safety practices we currently work to SALSA standards
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to lead and motivate a team
- Good organisational skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, training will be provided for company specific software and customer specific portals
- Proven experience in leading and supervising a small team
- A basic understanding of volume planning
- A positive attitude when dealing with challenge & change
- The ability to be forward thinking and able to plan
- FLT Licence preferable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £31,200.00 per year
