To work as a skilled member of the nursing team to assist in the provision of high standards of holistic family centred care to children and their families.
Ability to promote family centred care and establish good relationships with children and their families.
To communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
To be able to take charge of the unit in the absence of the nurse in charge
To be able to deliver a high standard of critical care skills to children within the unit
To work within the Paediatric Directorate across the Health Board
To assess and triage patients attending the PAU.
Are you a registered children's nurse who would like to join a team at Morriston Hospital caring for children and young people within children services. Have you the motivation and commitment to provide evidenced based care whilst exercising a children rights based approach, then we would love to welcome you to our team.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of specialist evidence based care to children and their families within PAU and the acute paediatric wards. The post holder will be a key member in relation to development of practice on the ward. They will be working independently/autonomously without direct supervision, accountable for own professional actions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Carry out nursing procedures
Provide clinical supervision to students.
Care must be in adherence to local and national policies.
