Paid Search Executive

AXA Commercial have a great opportunity for a dynamic and results orientated Paid Search Executive to join the talented marketing team.

As a key player in the teams digital marketing efforts, you‘ll take the lead in delivering an effective Paid Search strategy for AXA Commercial Direct. You’ll work closely the wider marketing team along with Google and Microsoft, to identify trends and areas for growth.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, primarily based at our Glasgow office, but potentially visiting external agencies or other AXA offices in the UK.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Create, plan and manage effective Paid Search (PPC) strategies, to drive growth in new business.
• Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion on our key PPC accounts.
• Manage daily and monthly budgets, and forecasting future performance to drive optimal results and drive strong return.
• Report on performance, results and budgets to stakeholders. Providing recommendations to help achieve targets.
• Maintain and optimise automated bid strategies.
• Develop and deliver a roadmap of PPC initiatives for 2024 and beyond.
• Liaise with the Digital Customer Experience team to optimise the customer journey, and improve conversion on key landing pages.
• Work with in-house copy team to create compelling advert copy, in-keeping with the wider marketing messaging.
• Support the Digital Marketing team on paid media channels including affiliates, display and paid social.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Paid Search, recommending innovative and effective strategies.

• Experience in managing Paid Search, with a proven record of delivering business growth.
• Experience managing campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, to achieve set KPIs.
• Advanced technical knowledge of the PPC environment, including smart bidding and different forms of attribution.
• Budget management and planning experience, with the ability to forecast performance.
• Strong reporting skills, with experience using Google Analytics to measure performance and provide analysis.
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels and presenting results to management.
• Experience in Google PerformanceMAX or Display would be advantageous.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
• Experience managing external marketing agencies would be advantageous.
• Google Ads certification would be beneficial.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
