Paint Sprayer And Warehouse Assistant

We are the UK s leading supplier of quality timber doors, a successful business looking for an enthusiastic Paint Sprayer and Warehouse Assistant to be based at our St Albans carpentry workshop to join our professional and friendly team. The role covers both paint spraying and Warehouse duties so you must be happy with both elements of the role. You will be using professional spraying equipment, spraying products to a high standard and within the agreed lead-times for our customers. Overseeing and maintaining the warehouse facilities, ensuring all the stock is kept safe, tidy & organised and deliveries are checked and booked in.

The role would suit candidates from a warehouse background ideally with some experience of paint spraying or similar eg. Paint spraying of vehicles, furniture, buildings, decorating or similar. If you have warehouse experience and the skills to undertake our detailed paint spraying work then we can offer a busy and varied role.

Your key duties will be:
• Spraying doors and frames for customers in a variety of different finishes using professional spraying equipment full training provided
• Understanding the different types of finishes, paints and stains available
• Spraying products for exhibitions, for use in our showrooms and for offsite projects
• Maintenance and upkeep of the spraying and drying facilities ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Preparation work including unwrapping, checking, cleaning, filling and sanding of doors and frames, before, during and after spraying has occurred
• Assisting with checking the quality of all incoming doors.
• Assisting with the warehouse operation lifting heavy doors, storage of doors. Keeping the warehouse tidy and ensuring health and safety measures are adhered to.
• Planning workload in order of commitments made to customers
• Ensuring stock is stored in correct locations for stock checks.
• Assisting with stocktaking
• Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds all customer s expectations
• Comprehensive product knowledge
• Take in deliveries and follow the Company processes to conclusion
• Keep the Customer Pile and corresponding paperwork in order
• Keep warehouse, yard and all other carpentry areas clean and tidy
• Behave courteously and professionally at all times with awareness that customers may observe your behaviour and demeanour
• Keep paperwork precise and clear so that tasks may be followed by colleagues
• Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed
• Ensure that all Company systems and procedures are followed at all times
• Keep a tidy, safe working environment following all Health and Safety procedures
• Supplied company uniform to be worn at all times and kept neat, clean and presentable
• Assist with the training and development of all new recruits
• Report any Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager
• Take on any reasonable ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of The Company
