Paint Technician/Body Prepper required for a leading Vintage Car Restoration company based in South Cerney, Gloucestershire.
Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure a smooth and even foundation for paint application.
Colour Matching: Utilise colour-matching techniques and tools to accurately match and reproduce original paint colours or custom finishes as per customer specifications.
Spray Painting: Apply paint using various techniques, including airbrushing, HVLP, and other industry-standard methods, ensuring high-quality and durable finishes.
Detailing and Polishing: Perform final detailing and polishing to achieve a showroom-quality appearance, paying attention to every detail to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure it meets industry standards, company guidelines, and customer expectations.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain painting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are upheld.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Paint Technician in the automotive restoration industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful restoration projects.
Technical Skills: Proficient in surface preparation, colour matching, and various painting techniques. Knowledge of custom finishes and special effects is a plus.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
