I am currently recruiting for a Painter & Decorator on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Huddersfield.
Purpose of Post: my client are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join the team, dedicated to the maintenance and repair of Council-owned properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the internal and external decoration of various Council properties, including public buildings and schools.
Duties of the Painter & Decorator include:
The postholder will be responsible for the decoration, internal and external, of Council properties, public buildings and schools
To ensure as far as reasonably practicable the satisfaction of the client or tenant with regard to quality of work, prompt services and conduct wherever work is to be carried out.
- Conduct damp and mould treatment in the Kirklees Area.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
- Proven experience in the painting and decorating trade.
- Qualifications: City & Guilds/NVQ III in the relevant trade or equivalent.
- Proficiency in hanging wide fabric and paper lining.
- Experience with the application of sprayed finishes.
- Background in maintenance within domestic properties and schools.
This is a full time role 27 hours per week, Mon - Thurs 0800 - 1600, Fri 0800 - 1530 with a pay rate of £15.43 PAYE or £19.03 via Umbrella.
