Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour

We are looking for a Painter & Decorator to join the team and help maintain and improve affordable homes across Houghton Regis.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works on domestic properties, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, skirting boards, etc.
• Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, such as filling cracks, sanding, scraping, etc.
• Applying various types of paint, wallpaper, and other finishes, using brushes, rollers, sprayers, etc.
• Ensuring that all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with Peabody's specifications and health and safety regulations
• Liaising with residents, contractors, and other staff, and providing excellent customer service at all times
• Reporting any issues, defects, or damages to the supervisor or manager
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy, and disposing of any waste materials properly
• Using and maintaining tools and equipment safely and correctly
• Working as part of a team and supporting other colleagues as needed

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Painting and Decorating
