The company is a leading transportation service provider dedicated to providing safe and efficient bus services to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our team and contribute to maintaining the quality and safety of our fleet.
As a Panel Beater will be responsible for repairing and restoring bus bodywork and frames to the highest standards. The role involves assessing, repairing, and replacing damaged panels and components to ensure the structural integrity and appearance of our buses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and assess bus bodywork and frames for damage, dents, or corrosion.
• Carry out repairs to damaged bus panels and frames using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Remove and replace damaged or faulty panels, including welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Align and fit new panels, ensuring proper functionality and structural integrity.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule repairs and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document work carried out and maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Panel Beater or similar role, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry.
• Proficiency in using panel beating tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Strong knowledge of bus bodywork materials, repair techniques, and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and repair manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Good physical stamina and dexterity for manual work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in panel beating or automotive repair would be advantageous.
