The role
As a Panel Line Operator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Safely operating and rotating a variety of machines to support the Type 31 Royal Navy Frigate (T31) unit build from piece part creation through to panel manufacture.
Day to day, you'll load raw materials onto the workstations using lifting equipment and workshop cranes. You will also:

• Adhere to all relevant HSE processes, procedures, and Risk Assessments
• Follow standard operating procedures in the safe set up and operation of the workstation, in line with engineering outputs, this will include load programme(s) onto the machine and set start position, set up of machines and parameters, control, feedback and rectification of defects, the use of manipulator arms where required to move parts into position.
• Move components or assemblies to subsequent workstation, or unload finished parts/components ready for transportation
• Visual inspection of parts and assemblies, as per engineering outputs and project requirements

This role is full time - 37 hours per week and will be based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Panel Line Operator:

• A Trade background would be beneficial (Mechanical, Fabrication and/or Welding or Lifting)
• Willing to train and gain experience and proficiency in slinging operations

Qualifications for the Panel Line Operator:

• SVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
