Panel Wireman – £18 - £27 per hour over 38 hours – Hebburn, NE31
The Role
Are you proficient in relay panel disciplines, crimping, and fitting? Do you thrive in a collaborative team environment whilst also being capable of working independently? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As a Panel Wireman, the successful candidates will play a vital role in the production process, contributing to the creation of high-quality electrical panels through your expertise in assembly, wiring, and interpretation of technical diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Panel Assembly: Assembling electrical panels according to specifications provided, ensuring all components are correctly installed and securely fastened.
- Wiring Tasks: Performing wiring tasks such as crimping, looming, and fitting, ensuring all connections are made accurately and securely.
- Interpreting Diagrams: Interpreting wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings with precision, translating them into actionable steps for panel assembly and wiring.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating effectively within a team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards upheld.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshooting and finding solutions efficiently when encountering challenges or discrepancies during panel assembly and wiring.
- Quality Assurance: Conducting quality checks on completed panels, identifying any defects or issues, and rectifying them as needed to maintain high-quality workmanship.

- Previous experience in a panel shop environment.
- Proficiency in relay panel disciplines, crimping, looming, and fitting.
- Strong ability to interpret wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Hours will increase as the work ramps up with possible weekend working.
