Job Title: Paralegal (Private Client)
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday - full time
Description:
Due to an increase in workload and new clients, an exciting role has arisen for a confident, and experienced Paralegal to work for a well-established Financial Services Business in Birmingham. This is an ideal opportunity for a Paralegalto build a long-term career in a busy and very successful organisation and who would like to take on more duties.
You will be working for a niche practice based near the Jewellery Quarter in a fast-growing corporate, Private Client and tax department, giving you exposure to working with a wide range of clients such as businesses, wealthy individuals, and entrepreneurs.
Key Duties:
- Drafting and advising on all types of Wills
- Dealing with probate and estate administration
- Drafting and registering lasting powers of attorneys (LPA’s)
- Drafting of trust documentation and administration of trusts
- Assisting the Director
- Dealing with complex and time-sensitive matters
- Taking new instructions
- Legal Research
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience handling own wills & probate caseload
- Ability to deliver high quality and sympathetic client care and build a good rapport with existing clients whilst also attracting new clients
- The candidate must be adaptable and have a can-do attitude and be open to working within a small team to achieve the holistic planning for the benefit of the client
- Be confident and capable of working independently
- Be a team player and willing to learn
- Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise & manage a varied caseload
- Previous (ideally recent) experience in a Private Client work
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
