Who we are:
Jeanette Miller Law Limited is the umbrella company of Geoffrey Miller Solicitors, specialising in motoring CRIMINAL DEFENCE law in the UK, with offices in Salford and London, we’re recognised as industry leaders who thrive on the energy of collaboration and celebrating the right tapestry of legal expertise. JS Miller Solicitors is a separate trading name for serious motoring criminal prosecution cases and serious civil litigation. You will work for both firms in the same office.
Our head office is based in Salford, just outside the hub of Media City (within walking distance of the tram stop if you take public transport or we have free parking directly outside the office for anyone driving to work). The office is modern, spacious, and bright. We have music playing throughout the day in the open plan area, a comfortable staff room and an on-site gym, which is free for use by all staff! You can also enjoy hybrid working 1 day a week (subject to passing your probation with us).

Our comprehensive training programme covers everything from basic criminal litigation to the intricate “ins and outs” of running your own specialist MOTORING LAW cases. You will develop all the necessary skills to become a leading expert in a fast-paced and exciting area of law. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned solicitors and turn classroom knowledge into practical skills.

Work/Life Balance: Our hours are 9-5 (no 3am call outs) and it is rare that anyone on our legal team is expected to work beyond this as we recognise the importance of a work/life balance. We have a Rota for out-of-hours client calls (typically 2-3 evenings/ and one weekend day per month) which is shared between the teams.

Selection Process
Initial Application Review: Applications will be reviewed for eligibility and alignment with the academy’s values.
Interview stage: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to assess communication skills, motivation, and cultural fit.
Assessment Centre: Successful candidates will participate in an assessment involving practical exercises and interviews.
Career Development Prize: The final stage involves the selection of the most promising candidates for a Training Contract and PSC or support for SQE with Geoffrey Miller Solicitors/JS Miller Solicitors.
