Job description

Paraplanner - Route to becoming Financial Advisor
Option for Hybrid Working

My client is a well-established Independent Financial Advice firm with offices based in Ascot. They offer whole of market advice on Pensions, Investments, Tax Planning, IHT, Mortgages and some Protections to wealthy clients across Berkshire and Thames Valley region. They also offer Wills and Trusts and Estate work, to help clients with their inter-generational planning.

They have a 25-year history in financial planning in the local area and have an established book of clients that continues to grow organically. Typical clients have from £500k upwards of investable assets, through to those with serval million. Clients range from city professionals, owner managers of SME businesses, accumulators and those that are at and post-retirement. They are now looking for a Paraplanner that seeks a clear route through to becoming and Adviser, due to the recent promotion of the current incumbent into and Adviser role. This position is suitable to Paraplanners who are interested in the servicing and technical side of the job and will appeal to those that prefer the offering of complete, holistic wealth management advice and truly working with the client’s best interests in mind. You will be working alongside a well-established Advisor who has built up their client portfolio over the last 20 years. This Adviser is looking to retire in the next few years, so is keen to mentor a Paraplanner that aspires to be an Adviser, so they can hand over their clients to them. They will provide structured hands-on support and training and once you feel comfortable, will get you to attend client meetings, taking detailed notes and then take an active part in the product selection and recommendation process.

This is a rare opportunity for someone that enjoys the technical aspects of Paraplanning but doesn’t relish the prospect of having to business develop a client bank from scratch, when they become an Adviser. If you are level 4 diploma qualified or sitting your final exams this year, then our client would like to speak to you.

The role has the added advantage of being part office, part home based, and full study support will be provided to you, if you wish to undertake your chartered qualifications.

If this role sounds of interest, please contact Ryan at Financial Divisions
