Our long-standing client, who is located close to Tonbridge, Kent has recently contacted us to ask for assistance in finding an experienced Paraplanner who holds a Level 4 Diploma to support their expanding home-based, remote paraplanning business. They are committed to providing professional and transparent financial advice that aims to exceed client expectations. We have had several years of experience working with this company, which has given us the opportunity to get to know them well and support their ongoing recruitment needs. Despite the current state of the market, this firm has experienced a record year in terms of new business requests and an increase in business from current clients because they are willing to meet virtually, something that was not always the case in the past.
As a Paraplanner you will need to be proficient in both investments and pensions as a sizable portion of the clientele consists of owner managers of SME companies and individuals who are nearing or in retirement. You will attend certain fact-finding and revue meetings, as well as work closely with an adviser. Building strong bonds with clients and responding to their inquiries in the adviser's absence will be encouraged. As a Paraplanner will receive additional training to fill in any skill gaps while working in a friendly and encouraging team, having prior experience with Intelligent Office would be advantageous.
Initially, you might need to spend a few of your early weeks in the office to become familiar with the business. This is a home-based role, but there will be sporadic (once a month) office visits.
You must have prior experience working as a paraplanner in a whole market IFA practice and hold the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or be very close to completing it.
