A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. They also have a very thriving parental support unit to support parents and children as a unit in the early stages. They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children they believe that setting them up with the life skills now will help them turn into well rounded members of the community. The staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.
They are recruiting for a Parental Unit Residential Support Worker, you will be:–
Based in a Parental Unit residence in Kirkby in Merseyside Working 2 full days per week (including 2 sleeps in that) Working with families and children up to about the age of 11 years old Supporting the family unit as a whole so they can get things back on track with caring for their children Helping to put care plans in operation, looking after and monitoring the safe guarding of the child whilst in their parents care Taking extensive notes and reports as these may be called upon in court
Benefits and salary of a Parental Unit Residential Support Worker:–
GBP12.54 if you are working towards your NVQ level 3 OR GBP13.69 if you already have it GBP60 per sleep in 224 hours holiday per year you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years Bank holidays paid at x1.5 A great support network with further training and development Claim petrol back for 40p per mile
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements to work in Parental Unit support:–
Living in or around the Kirkby area You must have a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce would be very beneficial but would consider someone working towards it with the hands on experience You would also need some sort of experience working with children within a safe guarding setting you could be a social worker, community family support background, children s residential care background as long as you have experience dealing with children within a safe guarding situation
