PART TIME ASSISTANT CHEF X 2
The National Horseracing College seeks to employ two Part TimeAssistant Chefs to join its enthusiastic, vibrant, and hardworking team. As one of only two specialist horse racing colleges in the UK, this third sector provider delivers training for people in the racing industry. Located in the scenic grounds of a private estate near Doncaster, it achieved Ofsted Grade 2 in 2016.
To be selected for this interesting and challenging role, you must have City and Guild’s 706/2 or NVQ Level 3 equivalent, advanced food hygiene (level 3) or be prepared to work towards and achieve it. GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths, relevant catering experience in a busy kitchen with an excellent level of customer service skills, dynamism, and determination to succeed are essential.
Days of work: This role works on a rota basis, days worked are:
• Mondays – 7am – 6.30pm (included in these hours is 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Thursday’s - 7am – 1pm or 12.30pm – 6.30pm
• Friday’s - 7am – 1pm or 12.30pm – 6.30pm
• Saturday – 10am – 6.30pm (included in these hours is 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Sunday - 10am – 6.30pm (included in these hours is 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Hours of work are 104 hours per month which is every other weekend.
The package on offer includes a salary of £16,798.08 per annum, a contributory pension scheme, initial holiday entitlement of 25 days (+ Bank Hols), Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), and Life Assurance (2 x salary).
